I love the subdued colors and leathery texture of Hellebores.
I was shocked to see these blooming on my street! Hellebores usually bloom in early winter. By February most plants will be in bloom and continue blooming through March. These tough plants even bloom when snow is on the ground.
These Hellebores, could been tricked into blooming because of a brief cold period, followed by a warm snap here in New York City.
